Checking DoodleLabs Connection

Follow the steps below to check the connection between the DoodleLabs Ground Unit and the Air Unit:

1. Power Check

  • Place the antennas on the DoodleLabs Ground Unit, power the Drone and the Ground Unit, and connect the Ground Unit to the Ethernet adapter on the ground control station.
  • The first point to check is the DoodleLabs Ground Unit power status.
    • If you encounter power issues, the Ethernet adapter icon will display a red X over it. There are two potential sources for power issues:
      • The external battery.
      • The Ground Unit itself.
    • If the Ground Unit is powered properly, the red X will disappear, and the icon will show that it is connected to a network.

If the issue persists, contact the manufacturer for assistance.

2. Configuration Window Access

  • The second step is to check the DoodleLabs configuration window via a web browser:
    • After entering the IP address of the Ground Unit and Air Unit in the web browser, you should see the DoodleLabs login window.
    • If you cannot access the login window, refresh the browser and try again. Keep in mind that the Air Unit inside the drone takes longer to boot than the Ground Unit.

If you still cannot access the login window after several refresh attempts, contact the manufacturer.
